Hates the Earth

...no, hang on. That's Devil Bunny.

But he does feel like sitting high in his tree throwing nuts at the ignorant.

I was walking past the movie theater the other day, and overheard a kid of roughly 14 years: "Dad, did you know The Fantastic Four is basically a copy of The Incredibles?" In fairness, he's too young to remember the Fantastic Four from previous incarnations unless he's a real comic book aficionado. I can only hope his parents did/could fill in the gaps, I didn't stop to find out, just kept walking.

Blessings from the age of technology...A friend of mine received an anonymous threatening message today. Not a smart move on the part of whoever sent it, not if he figures out who it was anyway.
Reminds me though of the good old days of Uni though. Back in my day, most people couldn't mask their email addresses. Made for an interesting time when a fellow I knew sent me a drunken death threat one night. I must admit, all I could do was laugh, and hope he'd try for it. Not that I expected him to, he was the biggest Peacock I knew at the time.
It was also rather entertaining when we sat down to have coffee, together with a mutual friend, a couple of days later. When I wasn't at the verge of laughing in his face I was enjoying the whole sensation immensely.

In other ramblings...
I played a game of football today at lunch, had a great time.
1) My knee was hurting yesterday, and is again this evening, but didn't bother me at all during the game.
2) I grew up playing on a field called Limestone Park, they weren't kidding. Dry and hot too. The surface ripped up your tags better than your tags ripped up the earth. Used to hurt a bit, especially that season as goalkeeper. Anyway, this city mostly has soft earth, and was wet today. The drizzle of rain felt really great to run around in.
3) I played out of my regular position with this team, taking over as sweeper. Had easily my best match this year, and probably better than any I played last year. It all felt awesome.
4) I'm enjoying being back on a pitch running in tags. There's no feeling that can replace it.

I'm kind of ticked off with work. I took a few sick days last week, because I've been run ragged the previous few weeks, I was shattered. Anyway, while i was gone I missed out on a trip to Melbourne (though they knew i was keen) and a chance to do a course i wanted to do. Not really impressed, especially since they were aware of the Melbourne thing the previous day, when I was at work.

I cooked Cha yip dahn last night, black tea eggs. Looks great, but stank up the kitchen something shocking. I tried the recipe because they looked cool in one of my cookbooks, and I'm generally a fan of asian foods. Still haven't tried them though, they need to be an appetizer or a snack, and really wouldn't have gone with tonight's creamy pasta :)

I think that covers most things, though I've probably forgotten something.

...and Black Bean Sauce always reminds me of vegemite whenever I cook with it. Mainly the smell.
